New WorkSpace Warriors Initiative Provides Jobs for US Armed Forces Veterans

March 12, 2012

WorkSpace Contact Center Solutions recently introduced a new business program which has been designed to provide work for wounded and returning veterans of the US Armed Forces. The WorkSpace Warriors Initiative will enable United States veterans to work from the comfort of their own homes in various capacities.

These include providing client companies with sales and services support as well as a range of other call center services. WorkSpace has also included in this initiative the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Warriors to Work program, which helps veterans returning from active duty in Iraq and/or Afghanistan by providing them with employment opportunities.

In a release, Mike Tripp, president of WorkSpace Communications, said that, “In evaluating our capabilities as the only business process outsourcing (BPO) service provider exclusively utilizing the Microsoft Lync platform, we realized that we have the perfect platform to give our returning heroes the ability return to the workforce through our virtual environment. We are committed to providing employment opportunities for the brave men and women returning from duty in Afghanistan or Iraq, and their families -- opportunities that allow them to work from their own homes.”

He added, “We’re very pleased to have qualified for the Warriors to Work program, and consider it an honor to be part of such an important initiative.”

Under the WorkSpace Warriors Initiative, clients can take part in nationwide initiatives aimed at putting veterans and their families back into the workplace and to make use of a large and highly-committed workforce to provide virtual support to their remotely located centers.

The clients will also be able to participate in Work Opportunity Tax Credits via the VOW to Hire Heroes Act of 2011. Additionally, clients will be able to take advantage of the WorkSpace’s countrywide, voice-enabled unified communications platform which has been integrated with the Microsoft Lync platform

Bryan DiGiorgio, CEO of WorkSpace Communications, said that, “There are any number of service alternatives we can provide for our clients depending on their business model and goals. We can meet their needs on multiple fronts. At the most basic level, we offer a solution that enables companies to provide their customers with world-class service utilizing some of the best and brightest our country has to offer.”
