En Pointe Offering Enterprise-grade Hosted Collaboration Service

IT products and services provider En Pointe Technologies today announced the launch of En Pointe Collaboration Solution (ECS), a hosted, subscription-based service that integrates voice, mobility, audio, Web- and video-conferencing, presence technology and call center functionality.


En Pointe said in a press release that it began the journey to the next-generation communication solution by building upon Cisco's Hosted Collaboration Solution (HCS) platform. From there, ECS used its relationships with other technology vendors to create a robust, single source, enterprise-grade collaboration solution.

“While Cisco's HCS backbone provided a unique feature-set for us to build upon, En Pointe's relationships with industry leaders like Microsoft and BlackBerry bring additional features to ECS that take the solution even further,” said Michael Rapp, an executive vice president of En Pointe. “From this, ECS provides flexibility and a unified communications and collaboration portfolio to allow greater workforce productivity and cost predictability.”

The solution can be offered to clients seeking predictable monthly costs rather than large, uncertain capital investments. In addition to the financial benefits, the solution was designed to offer companies better scalability to allow them to quickly set-up new or changing facilities to help improve business continuity and to support the complex needs of remote workers, global travelers and virtual meetings.

Ease of set-up was added to save on productivity and real-time system monitoring and problem resolution and multi-site redundancy adds reliability.
