Interactive Intelligence Hires Mitchell Phillips as Australian Territory Manager

February 10, 2012

Interactive Intelligence Group, Inc., a global provider of unified business communication solutions for contact centers, unified communications, and business process automation, was in need for someone to take over their Australian territory. The company announced that Mitchell Phillips seems to be the new man for the job.

Phillips has been working in new business sales for the past 12 years. He has experience in telecom and software sales, selling to large enterprise accounts. Before getting hired to work at Interactive Intelligence, Phillips worked as a business sales executive for Witness/Verint Systems, a company providing analytic software and hardware for the security, surveillance, and business intelligence markets. Phillips worked there for two years before having at go at his own tourism business.

Phillips successfully ran his own business for more than four years. However, he missed working in the IT sales business and decided to sell his business. Shortly after the sale for his business, Phillips began working as a non-executive director and shareholder for The Art Park. Phillips was only at The Art Park for one year when Interactive Intelligence offered him a position to become a territory manager in January, which Phillips accepted.

Don Brown, founder and CEO of Interactive Intelligence, in a video called, ‘Turn Customer Service into a Competitive Weapon,’ said that his company has spent the last few years working hard on keeping a technological edge.

“We have spent the last couple of decades building really cool technology for communications,” said Brown. He continued saying that the company has one goal that it offers to its clients, “Our mission is to give you the tools to provide excellent customer service and to delight your customers,” said Brown.

Brown said there is only one way to be a successful company and that’s by having the backing of a team that is willing to set new standards. His company has been doing that for years. Phillips is just another addition to an already remarkable team.

“Mitchell’s track record in driving sales success comes at a strategic time for the company and we are delighted to welcome him to the team,” said ANZ Managing Director Brendan Maree.

Phillips has been working for the company now as the Australia Territory Manager for almost two months.
