Enghouse Interactive Releases Version 4.2 of CallRex Call Recording Software



Enghouse (News - Alert) Interactive has released version 4.2 of CallRex Call Recording software. Enghouse is a provider of the CallRex suite of IP call recording and contact center optimization solutions.

In a release, BJ Haberkorn, Lync group product manager at Microsoft (News - Alert), said, “Microsoft is pleased that Enghouse Interactive is continuing to enhance their CallRex Call Recording offer for Lync customers. With the addition of RT Audio support, CallRex can now extend its flexible and affordable quality management solution to cover employees working outside the corporate network without the call issues associated with the use of traditional telephony codecs.”

According to company sources, the new features included in version 4.2 will be able to offer enterprise-ready quality management solutions to companies using Microsoft Lync.

The CallRex Call Recording software with expanded integration options for Lync environments feature active conference-based and passive call recording methods. Active call recording eliminates the need for client-enabled software and is present on the server-side. This also makes deployment simpler featuring multiple sites and mixed vendor communication environments.

CallRex Call Recording is compatible with Microsoft Corp.’s native audio codec and Real Time (RT) Audio. CallRex Call Recording version 4.2 is easy to deploy owing to the optimized updated installation package.

Bruce Sherman, product manager for Enghouse Interactive said, “The CallRex suite of quality management solutions has had great success thanks to the efforts of our global partners and resellers. This release and the additions that we have made in our Microsoft Lync integration will open up opportunities in additional markets and give customers a quality installation experience and ROI.”

According to company sources the new enhancements made to the CallRex 4.2 include conference-based active call recording; increased support for the RT Audio codec; integration guide for Lync deployments and enhanced installation process with automation.

Officials added that CallRex Call Recording serves as a core component of the CallRex Quality Management Suite, a quality monitoring solution from Enghouse Interactive.

Most companies require capabilities like call recording, monitoring, and agent evaluation software along with customer service and customer experience management initiatives. The new version also improves customers’ ability to securely capture customer interactions besides being able to monitor calls for process improvement.
