Chordiant Wins 2008 IBM IMPACT Award

April 08, 2008

Chordiant Software, a provider of Customer Experience (Cx) software and services, has won IBM’s 2008 IMPACT Business Process Management Award.

Chordiant Software was cited for delivering value to customers through its Chordiant Decision Management (CDM) product suite, Chordiant’s patented predictive decisioning solution.

“The IBM Impact Awards recognize solutions that we believe will be drivers of tomorrow's new markets,” said Sandy Carter, vice president of SOA Strategy at IBM.

He explained that when choosing the winners and the finalists for the 2008 IMPACT Awards, his company looked at each organization’s solution and the value they deliver to clients.

He also said, “We are happy to recognize Chordiant as a winner in this year’s program and are impressed with the quantifiable benefits they can deliver to clients in the area of customer experience.”

BM’s IMPACT Awards seek out partners who demonstrate an ability to develop and offer Services-Oriented Architecture (SOA) solutions solving customer challenges.

A suite of applications, Chordiant Decision Management (CDM) enables businesses to execute accurate predictions of customer behavior and then act on those predictions.

CDM helps companies to develop predictive models that can be integrated with business-oriented rules and segmentation schemes, and the resulting ‘decision logic’ can be centrally tested, deployed, monitored, and controlled in batch or in real-time across all channels.

Officials pointed out that this ensures customer interactions are appropriate and consistent at all times, and “Next-Best-Action” offers and decisions can occur dynamically.

“This is a significant honor and reflects our commitment to our strategic IBM partnership and our ability to deliver mission-critical customer applications in SOA and on the WebSphere platform,” stated Steven R. Springsteel, president, CEO and chairman at Chordiant Software.

He also said that his company has partnered with IBM for over eight years, running its Decision Management suite on IBM hardware and software including WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere MQ, IBM DataPower SOA Appliance, DB2, and Rational.
