HootSuite Announces New App Directory Integrations for Enhanced Social Media Management

December 20, 2011

Acknowledging the importance of social media applications, enterprises worldwide have been trying to leverage the best out of the enormous business potential these solutions have to offer. Additionally, a number of advanced tools are being developed that can be integrated with business applications to considerably improve the overall productivity of these solutions.

HootSuite, a provider of advanced social media management solutions, has introduced new App Directory integrations for a number of external tools. Known as Constant Contact, Summify and Formulists, these tools have been made available to the users of HootSuite with immediate effect. Users falling under all the three categories, Basic, Pro and Enterprise, can now access these external tools.

Leveraging the new offerings, enterprises can enjoy the benefits of enhanced HootSuite functionality, such as team collaboration, engagement, security and analytic tools. It will help them in managing these social content networks in a streamlined manner and will enable brands and marketers to create new ties to expand their business range to new horizons. Various social network profiles such as Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn are already available within the dashboard of the solution.

Constant Contact is an application through which the HootSuite users can get an idea of how their recent email campaigns have worked. Further, they can also share these campaigns with their friends and colleagues through various social networks as well. Summify is the second external application that has been added to the HootSuite dashboard, and it enables the users to modify huge amount of news content available on the social networks. They can also convert important updates into customized digest summaries within the user generated streams of the solution. Formulists, a yet another application offers dynamic, personalized list streams from Twitter right inside the dashboard itself. The users can also modify and manage these lists through the solution.

The company has been continuously collaborating with external developers to create purpose-specific tools into the platform. With the help of these new additions, HootSuite users can enhance their social marketing efforts leveraging the engagement, collaboration, security and metric reporting tools which are already available in the dashboard.

“We’re always looking for ways to help our customers effectively engage with their customers and see the results, quickly and easily,” commented Rick Jensen, chief sales and marketing officer at Constant Contact.

In August 2011, HootSuite announced to enhance its Facebook functionality for allowing its millions of users to do even more in the dashboard than ever before. The interface refresh equipped users with more control over their Facebook Groups and Events, as well as Profile and Pages, within HootSuite streams.
