VSI Positioned in Gartner's Field Service Management Quadrant

October 18, 2011

Gartner Inc. has positioned Vertical Solutions Inc. (VSI) in the Niche Players quadrant of the 2011 "Magic Quadrant for Field Service Management." The "Magic Quadrant for CRM Customer Service Contact Centers" also includes VSI. An announcement in this regard has been made by the developer of CRM and service management solutions, VSI. Vendors are measured against a defined set of criteria for that marketplace by Gartner through its analysis. This analysis is depicted in the Magic Quadrant research reports.

The strategic importance of field service in today's environment is outlined by the report. According to the report, an integral part of a unified customer strategy is now field service. The report also states that the importance of field service to product-centric businesses is similar to the importance of sales, marketing and customer support.

When selecting a software solution, a number of strategic points should be considered. According to the report, on-site field service technicians will be able to capture sales leads, configure orders and market with the addition of CRM functionality to field service solutions. The report also states that it is important to deliver these capabilities through mobile devices.

In a release, Ron Wegmann Sr., CEO of VSI, said, "We are pleased to be included in this year's Magic Quadrant for Field Service, and believe that VServiceManagement offers a robust solution to ensure that field service is part of a company's unified customer service strategy."

According to Wegmann Sr., CRM functionality has been incorporated by VServiceManagement. The company’s bottom line can be therefore increased as sales leads can be captured by field technicians. At the same time, efficiency and effectiveness required in today's 'lean' environment can also be increased.

A new generation of products has been recently launched by VSI. These include VContactCenter and VServiceManagement. The Vertical Services Platform or VSP is a cloud-based technology platform which is used to build both application systems. VSP is delivered as a service or on-premise in a private or public cloud environment. A business process management or BPM design tool has also been included in both the solutions as a layer within the architecture.
