USOnyx Introduces Web-Based Products With LiveChat

USOnyx, a Singaporean vendor of Web hosting services, has introduced a new range of Web-based communication products, offered in cooperation with LiveChat Software.

LiveChat Contact Center uses Web technology such as Macromedia Flash to provide a customer contact tool. The Contact Center suite has conferencing capabilities, file sharing, live demonstrations and remote desktop functions, and can spit out reports based on the number of chat sessions, invitations and time spent with each specific operator. Customers can choose to leave operators a message Web forms.

The LiveChat Communicator is billed by the company as offering "a greater level of protection against online threats with its 128 bit SSL protocol. In addition," company officials say, the Communicator suite lets users reach people who use other instant messengers, such as MSN or ICQ, while "its customizable contact list minimizes distractions caused by unnecessary conversations."

This February USOnyx announced that it obtained Certified Partner status in the Microsoft (News - Alert) Partner Program with competency in Networking Infrastructure Solutions.

By being a Microsoft Certified Partner, USOnyx can "access resources that will enhance the USOnyx.NET (News - Alert) platform," according to company officials.

The Networking Infrastructure is for partners with recognized expertise in designing or administering complicated infrastructure applications, according to USOnyx officials.

"Becoming a Microsoft Certified Partner is an important achievement for USOnyx," Martin Chan, General Manager of USOnyx, said. "The Microsoft Certified Partner status testifies to our customers that we deliver reliable and professional services and solutions to meet and exceed their needs."

This October the company launched a business e-mail hosting service called U-MAIL, for SMEs to own and manage corporate e-mails. USONYX U-MAIL is targeted at new SMEs which do not have a Web site or the need for Web hosting yet, according to company officials:

"Developed specifically for non-technical business owners and individuals, U-MAIL users can perform basic administration of e-mail accounts using a Web browser from the office or remotely on any Internet-connected PC."
