Helm Bank Selects Oracle Software and Hardware

Looking to run its core banking, customer-facing services and marketing functions, Helm Bank, a Colombian private financial institution, has selected Oracle software and hardware. Oracle has announced in a press release.


The Oracle Exadata Database Machine is the only database machine that provides extreme performance for both data warehousing and online transaction processing (OLTP) applications, making it the ideal platform for consolidating onto grids or private clouds.

Offering extreme performance, Helm Bank's platform includes Oracle FLEXCUBE Universal Banking running on Oracle Exadata Database Machine. Making it the ideal platform for consolidating onto private clouds, Oracle Exadata is the only database machine that provides extreme performance for both data warehousing and online transaction processing (OLTP) applications. Enabling superior customer service, Helm Bank will also implement Oracle's Siebel CRM to streamline customer data management.

Other Oracle applications selected by Helm Bank include Oracle Financial Management Services, Oracle Database 11g, Oracle WebLogic Suite, Oracle Business Intelligence, Oracle Identity Management and Oracle SOA Suite. The company bank selected Oracle to speed up its time to market for new products, as well as for Oracle's reputation and performance. Also, with these next-generation tools, the bank expects to continue to improve operational risk, automation level and customer satisfaction and loyalty, Helm Bank stated.

Recently, the company unveiled Oracle Financial Services Data Warehouse to help the financial institutions around the world to better maintain their financial data warehouses. The Oracle Financial Services Data Warehouse’s comprehensive financial services data model draws upon over 15 years of implementation and “real world” experience from around the world. The Oracle Financial Services Data Warehouse is built on years of global tier-one financial services domain experience, the company stated.
