MGS Helps Aperia Make PCI Compliance Process Easier for Merchants

February 23, 2011

Maas Global Solutions Corporation (MGS) recently selected Dallas, Texas-based Aperia Solutions as its PCI Compliance partner. The MGS data center is currently used by thousands of retail merchants and claims to have a capacity to process over 100 times the current processing volume and tens of thousands more merchants without significantly adding to the hardware configuration.

In a press release, MGS announced that under the agreement, Aperia Solutions, a provider of hosted business intelligence solutions will assist MGS and its clients to manage the process of ensuring complete data security through compliance with the Payment Card Industry standards.

MGS further informed that Aperia Solutions' will roll out its CompliAssure Compliance Suite in the coming weeks. CompliAssure Compliance Suite is a suite of services that provides Software as a Service (SaaS) access to manage key compliance issues using a custom module for specific PCI compliance requirements.

PCI Level 3 and Level 4 Merchants are required to complete a "Self Assessment" annually and a "Network Security Scan" on a quarterly basis. As non-compliance to security issues may lead to heavy penalties, so all merchants must be fully aware of their PCI Compliance status. The solution makes the processes simple for merchants.

CompliAssure, according to MGS, will allow MGS customers to scan their own data networks for vulnerabilities for preventing exploitations against fraudsters. The scanning will make the merchants know that their own data handling methods meet PCI requirements when it comes to sensitive payment data they receive from their customers.

“Everyone here at MGS knows that the safe handling of personal payment data is at the foundation of any company who conducts business over the Internet and our customers want to know that their websites and data centers are appropriately protected,” CEO of Maas Global Solutions Troy Maas said in a statement.

Earlier this month, Maas Global Solutions Corporation (MGS) announced the release of Paymentsite for Schools, a fully integrated software-as-a-service platform that is designed specifically for schools of all types and stripes. Comprised of two components, the Paymentsite Platform makes collecting tuition and other fees easier or faster. Paymentsite, according to MGS, allows school administrators to process and keep track of all types of payments made by students and parents whether the payment is made online, in person, through the mail or over the phone.
