Veeva Systems Debuts iRep for iPad

Looking to explore the iPad market, Veeva Systems has introduced Veeva iRep, the pharmaceutical industry’s first complete CRM and closed loop marketing (CLM) solution exclusively for the iPad.


The company believes the Veeva iRep is the next breakthrough in pharma sales and marketing. Veeva said it is delivering a completely new user experience, so much improved that it actually improves the quality of customer interactions.

Realizing its ideal size, long battery life, and instant-on feature, various global pharmaceutical and biotech companies have already started using the iPad in their sales and marketing organizations. Executives at five leading pharmaceutical organizations in the United States and Europe will hand out thousands of iPads installed with Veeva iRep to create competitive advantage in the market over the next few months, the company said.

“The iPad arrived just in time for pharma,” said Matt Wallach, chief strategy officer at Veeva Systems. “Reps are under pressure to represent more products against more competition while physicians give them less face time to do so. iRep allows them to be more efficient, more effective, and more connected. The real-time rep has truly arrived,” continued Matt Wallach in a press release.

Veeva iRep opens new possibilities for pharmaceutical companies by combining CRM and CLM functionality on the iPad. iRep includes a sophisticated content viewer that enables users to quickly present e-detail materials apart from providing CRM functionality. Also, having real-time access to additional resources to further enhance customer interactions, company representatives will be always connected to the internet.

Veeva is partnering on the launch with Intouch Solutions, the company said.

Recently, the company announced the ability to integrate with Mederi. Mederi provides network intelligence and insights for the healthcare industry. The companies note that pharmaceutical companies can leverage integration between Veeva CRM and Mederi to manage their customer relationships and analyze professional networks within one application. This strategic move will ensure a more coordinated and effective interaction with key stakeholders.
