Bazaarvoice to Help AT&T Connect With Customers on Facebook

December 29, 2010

AT&T, a communications holding company, will utilize the services of Bazaarvoice's Software as a Service (SaaS) social commerce solutions in order to get closer to its customers on Facebook.

AT&T claimed it is one among the first providers to harness the power of social networking to advocate its new services and products. It brought customer reviews and ratings into Facebook in order to help subscribers make better decisions and connect closely to the AT&T brand through their peers.

“Browsing product reviews has become an integral part of the online purchase process for more than 70 percent of consumers, and we recognize the importance of bringing those customer conversations to the forefront of our business. With the holidays quickly approaching, we believe our new Ratings & Reviews integration on Facebook will help our customers quickly and easily find the right products,” said Christopher Baccus, Executive Director of Digital and Social Media at AT&T, in a release.

Bazaarvoice claimed that its products and services help clients turn consumer conversations into real business results. It allows organizations to engage and share content through high-impact search strategies via social networks, mobile devices and across sales channels. Customers will also get an apt platform to query details, share their opinions, knowledge and experiences.

By employing Bazaarvoice’s services, AT&T can enable its customers to share their authentic feedback on AT&T devices and accessories. On Facebook, AT&T has opened a brand page from where customers can view and review a variety of featured, top and popular accessories and services available to them from AT&T. Additionally, visitors can take advantage of the “buy it now” functionality, which links visitors directly to the specific product page on att.com to complete their purchase and drive the Facebook-to-website conversion cycle.

Officials with Bazaarvoice explained that the voice of the digital customer is the single most transformative voice in business at present and by employing their services AT&T is supposed to have made a very important strategic move as the first telecom provider to bring product conversations to Facebook, resulting in a win-win for AT&T customers and its brand.
