PAR Springer-Miller Systems Addresses Challenges in Hospitality Industry

December 29, 2010

With particular emphasis on the contribution to hospitality industry, PAR Springer-Miller Systems, a provider of guest-centric hospitality management systems has successfully increased savings and customer satisfaction with the implementation of the Enterprise Knowledge Platform (EKP) learning management system (LMS). This announcement is made by NetDimensions, a global provider of performance, knowledge and learning management systems.

In a press release, Tricia Majetich, manager of implementation support at PAR Springer-Miller Systems, said that the company needed to deliver a cost effective and standardized training solution to its customers as the travel and accommodation costs for trainers became more expensive as fuel prices continued to rise.

Delivering web-based, on-demand training content through EKP LMS enabled PAR Springer-Miller Systems to reduce installation and training expenses, as well as the number of on-site training days.

Majetich explained that immediate savings can be measured in the reduced number of support calls, number of man-days required for installation, and the on-going empowerment of the company’s customers and employees to pursue self-guided e-learning.

Turnover rates within the hospitality industry average over 65 percent per year. According to the press release, web-based training provides PAR Springer-Miller Systems' customers with a cost effective and standardized training curriculum that helps to ensure new employees are being trained correctly by experts in the subject matter every time.

Majetich added that if a hotel has an unexpected change of staff, new employees can be trained immediately – the hotel does not need to wait for a trainer to travel to its location, and the company is very proud of the content it created and the LMS that is delivering training to its customers.

Eric Miller, Senior Account Manager for North America at NetDimensions said that the company is very excited to work with PAR Springer-Miller Systems in helping address these major challenges in the hospitality industry.

PAR Springer-Miller Systems also required a learning management system that would enable its customers to track the training and knowledge of its employees easily without much assistance. In addition, the organization also had some very specific configuration needs that only EKP could provide, stating that SMS Host Hospitality Management System is distinguished from other property management systems with its integrated design and unique approach to guest service.

In other company news, ContactCenterSolutions reported that Mexico Grand Hotels has selected PAR Springer-Miller's SMS Host Hospitality Management System for its two properties, Hacienda Encantada and Marina Fiesta in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
