Teleperformance USA Adds 300 Call Center Jobs to Fisher, Indiana Site

September 24, 2007

International outsourcing conglomerate Teleperformance USA recently announced the addition of 300 new call center jobs at its Fisher, Indiana site. This makes it one of the biggest employers in Hamilton Country, Indiana.

Indystar.com reported that Teleperformance USA will pay about $9 per hour for the new employees, who will be answering phone calls for a telecom company. Once the 300 additional people are added, the Fisher site’s staff will reach 525 and have a payroll of $11 million.

The Fishers area has experienced something of a call center jobs boom during 2007. Earlier in the year, Indystar.com reported, Comcast moved more than 200 of its employees from Indianapolis to Fishers. In the surrounding region, Comcast plans to add another 200 employees to a call center in Daleville; AT&T is boosting its downtown Indianapolis call center by 425 employees; and IBM is also expanding in Daleville with 200 new call center employees.

Teleperformance USA is a subsidiary of SR Teleperformance, based in France. The company employs 12,000 employees at 42 call centers in the U.S.
