Wipro and SAP Enhance Partnership to Accelerate Growth

In a bid to speed up the growth for business around the globe, the Global IT Services Division of Wipro Limited and SAP AG have decided to expand their existing collaboration. The aim is to enhance development and implement best-in-class solutions, especially around enterprise service-oriented architecture (enterprise SOA).


Under the agreement, Wipro will become an SAP global services partner and will set up a solutions lab in Bangalore to explore the benefits of enterprise SOA, industry best practices and innovative service-delivery models.

"We have established a strong reputation for delivering high-quality solutions to large, small and midsize enterprises, and for providing competencies for SAP applications," said Suresh Vaswani, president, IT practices, Wipro Technologies. "Becoming an SAP global services partner provides increased opportunities for Wipro to collaborate with SAP to help businesses around the globe adopt a services-based IT approach. Today's announcement underscores Wipro's dedication to expand its SAP applications-based services practice worldwide and to add new dimensions to our already very strong relationship with SAP."

In addition, Wipro will invest in joint marketing resources and strategic planning to support the growth with SAP and to serve global customers and prospects. Thanks to the collaboration, both the companies will be able to leverage their individual strengths Wipro's in-depth industry knowledge and implementation skills and SAP's comprehensive range of enterprise applications.
